Daniel B. Calderwood, Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer

Dan Calderwood serves as Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer for Veritiv. In this role, he leads the company’s Next Wave of Commercial Excellence — overseeing strategy, margin management, revenue operations, category management, digital platforms, and integration execution. His focus is on embedding commercial excellence into Veritiv’s go-to-market model by accelerating profitable growth, enhancing margins through smarter customer solutions and empowering sales teams; while also driving the fast, value-creating integration of newly acquired companies.

Previously, Dan was Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, where he led Customer Experience, Data Analytics, Digital Commerce, Marketing, Pricing, and Integration Management. Earlier at Veritiv, he held leadership roles across the Commercial and Supply Chain organizations, all centered on delivering profitable growth across our Business Units.

Before joining Veritiv in 2019, Dan spent seven years with TempurSealy International in commercial leadership roles. As Vice President of Sealy, he had general management responsibility and led the transformation that propelled Sealy to the No. 1 U.S. market share position (up from No. 3) while driving profit growth that outpaced sales and competitors.

Dan also spent a decade with Kohler Company in progressive roles across product management, national accounts, and sales in both retail and commercial markets.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and business management from Trinity University and an MBA from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
